When people are in online they may visit websites, clicking online links, searching queries for conducting, putting products in virtual shopping carts and the personal details which they reveal on some social networking pages, all these can give the companies insight into what internet ads we might be interested in seeing. Some people doesn’t know their online habits are tracking by the internet marketers and mining the data to serve up targeted pitches and this practice is known as behavioral advertising.
To control these kinds of things the US congress is drafting a bill that would impose new rules for websites and advertisers. So this will help the people to know about the consumers and information being collected from them on the web and how it is being used. This bill will also benefit the consumers. The US congress says by drafting this bill not to hinder online advertising, but it will make the people to trust on the internet.
