Gulzar shares Grammy with Rahman

Bollywood's veteran lyricist Gulzar has done it again. He has won the prestigious Grammy awards along with the musical genius A.R. Rahman and Tanvi Shah, who has penned the Spanish lyrics for the best song in a motion picture category.

Earlier in 2009, Gulzar also won the Oscar along with Rahman for the same song 'Jai ho'. Famously known as Gulzar sahaab, he is a famous poet, lyricist and writer in Bollywood. Known for his sensitivity and emotional writing, Gulzar came into the spotlight through Khamoshi and Mere Apne in the late 90s.

Gulzar has won 5 National Awards and 19 Filmfare awards. He has also worked with many music directors, including R.D. Burman, S.D. Burman, A.R. Rahman, Salil Chowdhury, Madan Mohan, Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Anu Malik.

U2 and Jay-z record song for Haiti

U2, Jay-Z and producer Swizz Beatz have recorded a song together to raise money for victims of the Haiti earthquake. U2's guitarist The Edge told Irish radio station 2FM the band wrote a song, finished and recorded last week after being contacted about the idea.

The Edge, Bono and Jay-Z, along with Rihanna, are due to appear in London for a group performance as part of Friday's Hope For Haiti telethon. George Clooney's two-hour benefit show will be aired on MTV in the UK.

The Edge told 2FM DJ Dave Fanning over the weekend: "Bono got a call from a producer, Swizz. He and Jay-Z wanted to do something for Haiti. So Bono came up with the phrase on the phone and last night we were here, we wrote a song, finished, recorded, and sent it back to them. So, that might be the next thing you hear from us.

Mel B to host dance show

Former Spice Girl Mel Brown is to host a dance and weight-loss show on US TV.

The 34-year-old, who was runner up on Dancing With The Stars in 2007, will front Dance Your Ass off when it returns for a second series this year.

Twelve contestants will compete to lose the pounds and be scored according to their weight loss and dance routines.

Brown said, after the birth of my second daughter, I wanted to find a fun and effective way to drop the pounds and get back in shape.

Katy Perry on India trip

Katy Perry seems to have had a lot of fun during her trip to India. The singer even had a henna motiff done on her left hand. Perry posted a picture of hers while she was getting the tattoo done and wrote on Twitter: "I'm typing this with one hand... Isn't it lovely? It's Henna!"

As seen in the picture, the henna motif has been carefully crafted to avoid her inked tattoo that reads "Jesus". Though it isn't clear which part of India Perry got the henna motiff done, it is known that the pop princess visited Agra with beau Russell Brand to see the Taj Mahal.

She had even posted a photograph of herself and Brand cuddling in front of the 17th century Mughal monument on her Twitter page, joking: "He built this for me!" It is not known if Perry and Brand are still in India, as they came on a hush-hush trip.

This is the best one that i have ever seen so far. It is the only entertainment for me in addition with blogging. No words to express our enjoyment that we had while watching the series.
